Sideboard Red Decorative, 1980s

Wooden sideboard, painted in Cranberry by Fusion Mineral Paint, Fusion is one of the most beautiful paints I work with.
This piece has been decorated with a transfer, Midnight Garden, designed by the Iron Orchid Design company.
Here I have used the transfer and added some hand painted flowers too.
I’m happy with this arrangement, the balance and the striking colours against the red.
The top has been painted with a Frenchic paint, Blackjack.
The cupboard doors lock and there is a set of two keys.
This piece is slightly distressed, just enough to bring out some of the decorative edging, then sealed with a clear wax and a brown wax to give a more aged look.
The hardware has not yet been added to this piece as yet, I have chosen a brushed bronze metal drawer and cupboard pulls, the colour matches the keyhole covers cover plates.
The drawer pulls can be seen on the photographs.
There is a small mark on the table top which I have circled on one of the photographs.
